This is my prayer.
May we all get through this pandemic. May we not return to the normal that got us here. May I be awake and ready for what happens next.
As you can probably imagine, this was not my prayer two years ago. Honestly, I can’t even remember what it was. Two years ago, I was in Florida for the holidays and putting the final touches on Yoga Hive’s 2020 plans and I was super excited about the year ahead.
And then new learning began…
Oh, this time of lessons.
My new daily prayer serves me now, today, in this moment, and it could be different tomorrow. I am not attached to it but I need it right now.
Awake and Ready.
What does that even mean? This is what it means to me:
Awake! I am in touch with my energy and emotions and aware of how they influence my decisions. I am grateful because whatever the challenge, gratitude is the answer. I get enough sleep. I know, it's obvious for awake, right? However, it is SO EASY to not sleep enough and put other priorities over sleep. Sleep is love for your brain.
Ready! I am in the present moment, not the future, not the past. I listen like my life depends on it so I can do things a new way and not the way I have always done them. I listen for inspiration from the collective that is so much greater than me. I have a service mindset. I come into my thoughts, ideas and actions from a place of service, not selfishness.
As we move into 2022 and whatever may come in the days, weeks and years ahead, I’m listening and learning so I can be awake and ready for each of you!
The collective is always stronger than the individual.
In a lecture I listened to last year, Nassim Haramein (a well-known quantum physicist) said:
If a butterfly flaps its wings in South America, the likelihood of a tsunami in Asia is infinitesimally small. If all the butterflies flap their wings together – then we have something!
